"Just outside Yorktown, golfers will find two superb Ed Ault-designed courses, the Deer Run layout and the Cardinal course, both located at the Newport News Golf Club at Deer Run. Ault cleverly leveraged the beginning Piedmont elevation changes, mixings rolling fairways with surrounding forest.
